Thinking Brand New Thoughts Using NLP
"Thinking brand new thoughts that you’ve never thought before, is wildly more conducive to creating big life changes than just thinking different varieties of the same old thoughts.
Think about it –
The Universe"
This is a counter example to the well known idea in NLP that ‘if you always do what you’ve always done, you will get what you have always got"
I am wondering if anyone here has consciously set aside time to devote to creating brand new thoughts – thoughts you have never thought of before, insights to issues, problems, new solutions. What would your life look like in 5 years time if you practised an exercise to do that on a regular basis?
What does a brand new thought feel like? How do you know it’s brand new and not just one you had before, but only just thought of it again?
What impact would new thoughts have on your life? How much more could you get done in a shorter space of time?
What processes have you found useful in creating new thoughts and ideas – which of those thoughts did you stick with and allow to become part of your new thinking?
Is there a distinction between changing beliefs and creating a brand new thought?
